The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA, Metro) is proposing changes in services to address a projected $275 million gap in FY 2018 (which begins July 1, 2017). We've summarized the cuts in Metro's proposed service changes would likely negatively impact Wards 7 and 8 residents. Since then, APACC supporter Susie Cambria published the #Storify Wards 7 and 8 residents, others rail against WMATA's service cuts proposal featuring #eotr residents and advocates. The deadline for public comment on the proposals is Tuesday, October 25 at 5:00 pm.
