District of Columbia Urban Tree Canopy Plan
In July 2011, Mayor Vincent C. Gray announced Sustainable DC—a planning effort to make the District of Columbia the greenest, healthiest, and most livable city in the nation. One of Sustainable DC’s major initiatives is to increase the District’s urban tree canopy.
