Women on the Front Lines of Change: Empowerment in the Face of Climate and Displacement, Thursday, March 1, 9:00-11:30 am, Wilson Center (Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave, NW): The Wilson Center is sponsoring this discussion of how women's roles in communities is changing as a result of climate displacement. Road Salts in the DC Region - A Discussion of Emerging Impacts and Best Practices, Tuesday, March 6, 5:30-7:45 pm, MWCOG (777 North Capitol St, NE): Co-sponsored by the American Water Resources Association National Capital Region Section (AWRA-NCRS) and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the event features Joel Moore, Associate Professor of Geosciences at Towson University and Will Isenberg, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Total Maximum Daily Load program. $10 for members and students, $15 for non-members. Navigating Government Contracts & Grants for Your Nonprofit, Wednesday, March 21, 9:00 am-4:30 pm, Kilpatrick Townsend and Stockton, LLP (607 14th St, NW): The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP are offering this all-day training on government contracts and grants for nonprofits to ensure nonprofits understand how to how to comply with various requirements.
