Dr. Unique Morris-Hughes: new head of Department of Employment Services
Mayor Bowser has nominated Dr. Unique Morris-Hughes to be the director of the Department of Employment Services (DOES). Morris-Hughes has been interim since March 2018.
The mayor on the nominee, according to the press release: “Dr. Morris-Hughes has a proven record of improving efficiencies and was instrumental in removing DOES from a federal high-risk designation while improving the agency’s ability to meet the needs of residents and businesses in Washington, DC.”
