Ward 8 Councilmember Trayon White is holding the State of Ward 8 Summit Sunday, September 30 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Savoy Elementary School (2400 Shannon Pl SE). Some of the topics which will be discussed are:

  • Economic development and workforce

  • Education

  • Health

  • Housing

  • Public safety

  • Older residents

Why APACC cares

APACC believes everyone’s voice is important and essential for a strong, engaged community. Just as we encouraged Ward 7 residents to participate in CM-elect Vince Gray’s Ward 7 Summit in December 2016, APACC is encouraging residents to participate in the State of Ward 8 Summit. We hope you will mention the value of vibrant parks and communities and a clean Anacostia River at the event. But even if you don’t, go. Be an active participant. Make sure the CM and his staff hear from you.
