APACC is interested in two items in the February 1 DCR:

  • Funding for the Anacostia Ambassador Program: DOEE has received federal funds to grant out for the Anacostia Ambassador Program and is seeking applicants. The announcement (Word) says, “Through the Urban Waters Federal Partnerships, this program aims to strengthen the coordination of present and future efforts of the District's local stakeholders that implement water quality improvements in the Anacostia Watershed. There is one award available for this project, with a project period of one (1) year. Depending on the performance of the grantee and the availability of funds, the grant may be extended for up to two (2) additional years for a total of three (3) years. The amount available for the project is approximately $90,000.” Applications are due March 4.

  • The Committee on Transportation and the Environment is holding a public roundtable on PR23-60, the Food Policy Director Ona Balkus Confirmation Resolution of 2018 Friday, February 15 at 11:00 am Room 412 of the John A. Wilson Building (1350 Pennsylvania Ave NW). This hearing is concurrent with the committee’ performance oversight hearing for the Food Policy Council.
