Ward 8 Woods is a group of local residents who are cleaning up the wooded areas of Ward 8 incuding Shepherd Parkway and Ft. Stanton Park. You can join Ward 8 Woods to help remove trash from our local parks on these upcoming Saturdays!

Suitland Parkway Bike Trail Clean-Up with Washington Area Bicyclist Association, DC Trash Cycle & Martha’s Table. Sunday, April 28, 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Meet at the corner of Stanton Road and Suitland Parkway SE.
Ft. Stanton Park Clean-Up with the Potomac Conservancy. Saturday, May 4, 10:00AM to 1:00PM. Meet at the Ft. Stanton Recreation Center, 1812 Erie Street SE.
Shepherd Parkway Community Clean-Up. Saturday, May 11, 10:30AM to 1:00PM. Meet at 555 Newcomb Street SE.
