Ward 8 Woods Winter Solstice Hike and Vigil

On December 21, the Ward 8 Woods Conservancy and the Anacostia Coordinating Council are cosponsoring a half-mile walk through a beautiful and rarely-visited section of Shepherd Parkway to a wooded hilltop overlooking DC. Participants will light candles and pause to reflect on the joys and sorrows of the past year and share hopes for the year to come. Tickets are $10.
