APACC General Meeting with Uwe Brandes: Friday, Sept. 17

Anacostia & Watts Branch Climate Adaptation

Flooding events are already happening in the District of Columbia. In the event of disastrous flooding, there is grave concern that families east of the river will be the most endangered.

Resilience challenges need to be addressed in a dedicated manner and cannot be solved by any one agency, a single discipline or any one sector of the economy.

To help us tackle this issue, we invited Uwe Brandes, Chairman of the DC Commission of Climate Change & Resilience, to discuss solutions and strategies. Join us and learn what communities in the Anacostia and Watts Branch sub-watersheds can do to reduce flooding and create healthier and safer street.
