DC Resident Survey: Anacostia River Restoration
Share your thoughts about the Anacostia River restoration!
More than 20 years ago, APACC members began calling for restoration of the Anacostia River. Sustained advocacy is one of the reasons that the Anacostia River is becoming a safe and vital resource for recreation, economic development, and neighborhood revitalization.
We have made strides fixing the major pollution sources. Long-term efforts to clean up the Anacostia River have resulted in reduced stormwater run-off, a cleanup plan for toxics in the riverbed, and new sewer systems. We are in these projects for the long haul, and continuously learning how residents can best enjoy and benefit from the Anacostia River.
That is why we’re asking our members and DC residents to share their thoughts about the Anacostia River restoration and take this 5 minute survey developed by our Policy Chair, the DC Appleseed Center for Law & Justice.
