Redbrick gets OK for 800-plus more residences at its Bridge District
From the Washington Business Journal:
The massive Bridge District development near Anacostia is readying for its second phase before it's even gone vertical with the first.
The development team led by Redbrick LMD is planning two mixed-use buildings on a 2.6-acre site at 633 Howard Road SE, totaling about 918,000 square feet. Between them, they will have 825 residential units, 151 short-term lodging units and 24,407 square feet of retail, served by 527 underground parking spaces. Meeting with the D.C. Zoning Commission Monday night, they said the new towers capitalize on the completed Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge steps away, linking the banks of the Anacostia River.
