Nature Based Trauma-Informed Programming in Parks and Greenspaces The Anacostia Parks & Community Collaborative (APACC) Model.

This paper explores the use of nature based trauma-informed programming by the Anacostia Parks & Community Collaborative (APACC) with children and families in the most oppressed parts of Wards 7 and 8 in Washington, DC. There are neighborhoods in these two wards that are the most racialized and economically segregated in the city, and whose communities have witnessed the highest rates of gun and community violence.
