Hooked on Fishing (at Hains Point)
Hains Point is a popular fishing spot along the Potomac River with view of the Anacostia from the point. Even though there are advisories against consuming fish, many people fish the rivers to eat themselves or give to others. Even though some consumption is allowed, Trey Sherard, the Anacostia riverkeeper, warns against eating any fish because of the many unknown chemicals contaminating the fish. Beyond the debate over whether or not to eat the fish, people in the D.C. area are hooked on fishing for the peace it provides.
