Mayor Bowser to Make an Announcement about Kingman and Heritage Islands this Friday

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is planning to make an announcement this Friday, January 12th, at 11:00AM on Kingman Island. According to her official Twitter account, she will be making an announcement about significant conservation initiatives for Kingman & Heritage Islands.

This is important to the Anacostia Park and Community Collaborative because APACC has identified the improvement Kingman Island in Ward 7 as a priority for 2018. A recent plan for the parkland calls for an environmental education campus that benefit DC schoolkids and DC residents.
