September 8: Capturing the Anacostia Forum at Anacostia Community Museum

Year of the Anacostia education and engagement continue even after the 100th birthday celebration of Anacostia Park August 31 and September with Capturing the Anacostia Forum Saturday, September 8 at 11:00 am at the Anacostia Community Museum (1901 Fort Pl SE).

Forum speakers will talk about the range and diversity of Anacostia’s natural and cultural resources, the significance of a river being brought back as an integral part of the community, and what remains to be done to have Anacostia River's promise fulfilled.

Stay for the opening of the museum's photographic exhibition, Capturing The Anacostia River following the forum. The exhibition features rich portraits of the river and its people. The reception is from 1:00-3:00 pm.
