The City First Foundation 2018 Affordable Housing Impact Forum, Wednesday, October 24 will be streaming live on their FB page: The event is from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.

Mold, Lead & the Affordable Housing Crisis, Thursday, October 25, 6:00-8:30 pm: LinkUp, the Dahlgreen Courts Tenants Association, Justice First, and Montana Terrace tenants are co-hosting this free event being held at UDC David A. Clarke School of Law. Tenants, organizers, health professionals, and attorneys will discuss the issues of mold and lead in the context of the affordable housing crisis, including ongoing organizing and legal efforts to hold developers and city officials accountable.

D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center's Free Advice and Referral Clinic (PDF), Saturday, November 10, 10:00 am to Noon at Bread for the City SE (1640 Good Hope Rd, SE): Individuals living on low incomes can meet one-on-one with an attorney for free legal advice on any civil legal matter governed by DC or federal law. Lawyers can discuss the following issues: bankruptcy/debt collection; civil rights; consumer law; employment law; family law; health law; housing law; personal and property damage; probate; public benefits (SSDI/SSI, etc.); and tax law. Bring all of the documents concerning your legal problem to the clinic. To ensure the lawyers can assist you with the help of an interpreter, call the Legal Information Help Line, (202) 626-3499. After selecting your language, press 5 for all other inquiries, press 3 for information about the free legal clinic, and then press 9 to leave a message with the information requested.

Free Immigration Legal Advice & Referral Clinic, Saturday, December 1, 10:00 am to Noon: The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center's clinic, which takes place at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School (1100 Harvard Ave, NW), is for anyone who has questions about their immigration status, whether or not it is related to an executive action. Clinic staff will take all walk-in clients who arrive during clinic hours, and all language needs will be accommodated. DCRTV reports: “Coffin Replaces Yu At 5 - 10/18 - Cori Coffin has been promoted from her role as a general assignment reporter to morning news anchor at Channel 5/WTTG. Coffin, who came to DC's Fox 5 in 2017 from KVUE-TV in Austin TX, will replace longtime anchor Annie Yu on the weekend morning desk. Yu has since left WTTG, we're told. . .”
